QualiBuild Final Conference – The National Roll Out

The event will be held on the 21st June at the Heritage Hotel in Portlaoise. Tickets to the conference are €35 during the early bird period and €45 after.

Everyone from the construction sector are invited to discuss the stausquo of the construction industry and how QualiBuild can help with the upskilling of the workforce and encourage all construction workers to train and improve their skills. We will have a range of attendees for the entire construction chain such as: policy makers, academics, professionals, construction industry, energy assessors, companies, site managers and individual construction workers and craft workers. The National Roll Out for the project will be highlighted, discussing the potential of the project’s various elements to be further developed by National Bodies to encourage QUALITY LOW ENERGY BUILDING in Ireland.

The programme for the day will kick off with a presentation from Philippe Moseley of the EU commission leading to presentations and discussions about the pilot delivery of the Foundation Energy Skills (FES) and Train the Trainer programmes.  T.D Minister Damien English will talk about the Irish context leading to the demonstration on air tightness performed by ETB Ballyfermot. After lunch the presentations will continue with Darragh Lynch representing the RIAI Sustainability Task Force and Dara Stewart discussing the development of a pilot Construction Workers Skills Register.  There will also be training videos and other information on display throughout the project before final discussions with the Panel.
