For thermal insulation to be effective, it needs to be continuous. Poor detailing will give rise to heat loss and thermal bridging, and in turn create problems with condensation and mould growth. This session will discuss quality processes to achieve Part L Acceptable details on site and also best practice zero thermal bridge detailing for Passive house.

Limerick – Quality Detailing and Airtightness | Wed 11 May 2016 | 6pm – 8pm

This session will focus on practical examples, quality assurance methods and details to achieve an airtight building envelope. Participants will discuss what role different trades play in achieving a quality end result and how can good detailing by architects help make this easier on site.
