QualiBuild Partners Meeting
The second partners’ meeting for the Qualibuild project took place at the Dublin Institute of Technology on the 17th of June 2014.
The agenda for the meeting was aimed at discussing and developing the programme further.
Presentations were provided by all the partners delivering an update of the progress over the last 6 months.
LIT confirmed that the management and co-ordination of the Qualibuild programme is on track and outlined the Foundation Energy Skills Course (FES). FES is well underway with great progress made on the content and approach to delivery and will be finalised well before March 2015.
The Train the Trainers programme, developed by ITB has been divided into 4 modules with the first two nearing completion and the last two to be completed well within the proposed timescale of October 2014. This course has been validated as Fetac level 7 and the CPD process is presently being finalised.
The Qualibuild campaign is being developed by IGBC and great measures have already been made with the website going live, social media discussions, presentations at various events and proposed attendance at conferences in Dublin etc.
Approaches to creating a register of building construction workers was also discussed with great input from CIF and DIT and it is anticipated that the existing construction companies register at www.ciri.ie will be developed further.
