Breakfast Briefing – Improving Energy Performance
QualiBuild will be running free breakfast briefings throughout the country for building construction workers and design professionals interested in learning more about energy efficiency and quality building topics.
The first briefing is scheduled for Tuesday, 30 June from 7:45 to 9:30 am. Click here to book your place.
The host for the briefing are Ecological Building Systems in Athboy, Co Meath. The schedule includes a networking breakfast, a discussion about improving building performance by coordinating building processes and a demonstration of an airtightness quality control test. This demonstration and discussion take place at Ecological Building Systems’ state-of-the-art training centre, and should be of interest to builders and specifiers looking to upskill and understand how to better deliver low energy projects.
Niall Crosson, Senior Technical Engineer with Ecological Building Systems, draws on over a decade of experience working on high performance low energy buildings. He will lead a discussion focused on the need to integrate building processes and trades to deliver low energy building. A fractured approach to building leads to increased costs and increased energy bills. Planning a coordination of processes on site can make dramatic improvements to building performance while at the same time reduce building costs.
Following this Niall will provide a demonstration of an airtightness quality control test on a building at Ecological Building Systems state of the art training centre. There will also be an opportunity to view the range of thermal insulation systems for roofs on walls on the range of detailed structural models at the training centreEvents Archive
